KATHMANDU: The Inspector General of Armed Police Force Singha Bahadur Shrestha on Wednesday conferred insignia to newly promoted Additional Inspector General amid a special programme at APF's headquarters in Halchowk.

IG Shrestha conferred insignia to Janak Raj Bhattarai, Subodh Kumar Adhikari, Nirakaram Bikram Shah, Khadananda Chaudhary and Rajesh Shrestha.

The Cabinet meeting held on Monday had taken the decision to this effect.

Addressing the programme, IG Shrestha directed the promoted officers to fulfill their respective duties by maintaining professionalism in the interest of Nepali people and the country.

Referring to federal set up, IG Shrestha said APF is restructuring its organisational model as per the latest political set up in the country.

On the occasion, AIG Prem Kumar Shahi, Prakash Ojha, Sailendra Khanal, Pusparam KC, Narayan Babu Thapa, Ram Saran Paudel and other high ranking officials were also present.
