Call for ceasefire:

KATHMANDU: The main organising committee for the national Jya Lochhar has called on the government and the Maoists to call a ceasefire for at least 20 days during the Lochhar celebrations, which begin on Friday. Issuing a press release on Wednesday, member-secretary of the committee, Shyam Tamang, has also demanded that the Lochhar be declared a national festival. — HNS
