Journo ill-treated

KATHMANDU: DSP Bikas Raj Khanal, who was deputed at Tribhuvan International Airport, mistreated Nepal Television’s cameraman Purusottam Ghimire on Friday. The dispute arose after Khanal barred Ghimire from entering the VVIP section of the airport for a press conference of the British parliamentary team. Robbery planner held

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka, on Friday nabbed a person involved in planning to loot a finance company. Police arrested Sunil Singh, originally from Gorakhpur in India, on the charge. His accomplices are still at large. A pistol, a bullet and a motorbike were seized from Singh. Police said they have provided security to financial institutions as the criminals were targeting to loot them. Meanwhile, police seized fake cosmetic goods from different places and arrested Bhola Bhusal, Prakash Silwal and Nawa Raj Malakar for producing the duplicate goods. — HNS
