Swosthani ends

KATHMANDU: The month-long Swosthani Brata Katha concluded on Monday. Women worship goddess Swosthani at noon after taking bath and take food only once a day throughout the month, with a belief that the goddess would make their wishes come true. Devotees thronged religious sites like Pashupati, Gaurighat, Ganesh temples, Shali River and other sites associated with goddess Satidevi throughout the month. They also thronged the Madhav Narayan temple which remains open only during this month-long period. On the concluding day of the brata (fast) on Monday, women offered the Prasad to their husbands.
