RPPN for referendum

KATHMANDU: Kamal Thapa, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal, on Friday reiterated that issues of Hindu state, monarchy and federalism should be decided through a referendum. Addressing a tea reception organised by RPP-Nepal Kathmandu chapter, Thapa said consensus was necessary among parties at the present political juncture. "Parties should reach a consensus and make fresh commitment to the statute drafting process," he added. — HNS

KOICA’s health camp

KATHMANDU: Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) volunteers held a Medical and Educational Camp at Nallang of Dhading District from October 14 to 16. A KOICA

statement said 30 volunteers participated in the camp. The camp provided free health check-ups and conducted awareness programme for more than 600 locals. A recreational activity for students of Shree Naya Prathamik Vidhyalaya was also a highlight. The camps and activities of the kind were tools to enhance cultural ties, mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries, it was stated. — HNS
