Scholarship for kids

KATHMANDU: The government

provided scholarship to 9,916

physically challenged children from different parts of the country the fiscal year 2064/65. Every year, the government provides scholarship for the period of 10 months to physically challenged students. Each student from the Mountain, Hill and Tarai receives Rs 1,500, Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,000 per month. — RSS

Literary awards

KATHMANDU: International Pen Nepal on Saturday awarded senior litterateurs Madan Mani Dixit, Krishna Chandra Singh Pradhan and Chetan Karki with Pen Award 2065 recognising their contribution to Nepali literature. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Ram Kumar Poudel said there was a lack of good literary creations in English language written by a Nepali writer. Poudel said the Pen Nepal would take initiative in this regard. He also felt the

necessity to raise the standards of Nepali literature. — RSS
