Agni Shikha dead

Kathmandu: Noted litterateur and journalist Shukdev Nepal, aka Agni Shikha, passed away in the wee hours today due to cardiac arrest. The 54-year-old scribes was rushed to Shahid Gangalal Heart Centre, where doctors declared him brought dead. He started his literary career about 30 years ago. His final rites were performed at Aryaghat. He is survived by his wife, son and daughter. — HNS

WWF awards today

Kathmandu: The WWF is honouring Tashi Gyalchhan Lama of Dolpa, Lav Bahadur Bista of Kanchanpur, Man Bahadur Khadka of Kailali and Krishna Prasad Bhurtel of Chitwan with Abraham Conservation Award to mark National Conservation Day on Tuesday. The award receiving organisations are Snow Leopard Conservation Sub-Committee in Yamphudin and Eco club and Saraswoti Secondary School in Nawalparasi. — HNS
