115 donate blood
KATHMANDU: A total of 115 people donated blood at a programme in Kuleshwor Boarding School on Friday. The programme themed “We need each other -- give blood, save life” was organised by Motherland Volunteer Family Nepal, local youths, and Nepal Red Cross Society.
Peace for tourism
Kathmandu: Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) on Friday handed over certificates to 53 trekking professionals, who completed a month-long ‘Monsoon English Language Course’. Speaking at the programme, Tanya Andrew, an English language trainer from England, said peace should be maintained to promote tourism in Nepal. She said,
“Nepal is one of the prime tourist destinations.” — HNS
