Drive for democracy

LALITPUR: Nepal Cultural Association, a sister organisation of the Nepali Congress, will run a nationwide cultural awareness campaign for the sake of democracy, peace, national integrity and Constituent Assembly (CA) polls. The campaign will raise awareness among rural people by making them familiar with principles of the NC, said the association’s president Tirtha Bahadur Thapa. — RSS

First aid training

BHAKTAPUR: A four-day training on first aid treatment for local volunteers and teachers began in Siddikali of Bhaktapur on Saturday. The Disaster Management Committee of the Nepal Red Cross Society is holding the training. 26 people are taking part in it. Panel coordinator Ramesh Ukha Shrestha said training on first aid treatment is necessary for all. — RSS
