SLC chance exams end
MADHYAPUR THIMI: The SLC complementary examinations, which started on August 15, ended on Wednesday. A total of 116,949 students took the complementary School Leaving Certificate exams, the controller of examination Harka Prasad Shrestha said. Altogether 236 exam centres were arranged with 30 employees in each centre. — RSS
Rights body’s concern
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Human Rights Organisation has urged the agitating groups in the Tarai to launch peaceful protests and respect the rights of the people. In a statement, the organisation has appealed to the groups to adhere fully to the Geneva Convention and International Humanitarian Law and Declaration of Human Rights. It has also urged the agitating groups to seek solution through dialogue. — RSS

BHAKTAPUR: The Bhaktapur District Administration Office has deposited Rs 77,000 in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. The amount was collected from employees of various offices and organisations in the district for the victims of floods and landslides. — RSS
