Panel grills cops :

KATHMANDU: The High-Level Investigation Commission headed by former SC justice Krishna Jung Rayamajhi on Sunday interrogated police officials on charge of suppressing the Jana Andolan-II. The panel on Sunday interrogated Senior Superintendent of Police Arjun Jung Shahi and other police officials. The panel will interrogate DSP Shakul Thapa and inspectors on Monday. — HNS

Contempt of court :

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court on Sunday initiated a contempt of court action against a group of persons, including Urmila Kunwar and her son Pradeep Kunwar, who had allegedly beaten up two lawyers Uddav KC and Chiranji Koirala. — HNS
