Mistura set to arrive

KATHMANDU: The leader of the UN headquarters mission, Staffan de Mistura, will arrive here at 15:25 pm on Thursday, according to United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Kathmandu. This is a high level UN assessment team as it is led by Mistura, who is the director at UN System Staff College. Before his appointment to the post in May 2006, he was serving as a deputy special representatives of the UN Secretary General in Iraq. The three technical-level members of the team, who arrived on Wednesday, are Kendra Collins, Jared Jotler and Orisi Rabukawaqu. — HNS

Nine persons nabbed

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Police nabbed nine persons with arms from two different places on Tuesday night. According to Dhak Bahadur Karki, Superintendent of Police at the Kathmandu District Police Office, Hanumandhoka, five persons were arrested from Budhanilkantha with one khukuri, one pistol, one country-made revolver and five cartridges.
