MoE website hacked

KATHMANDU: The official website of Ministry of Education has been hacked. The technical snag with www.moe.gov.np has deprived service seekers of online information. Dipendra Bikram Thapa, secretary, MoE, said the site was hacked some two weeks back. “The technicians are working to fix it,” said Thapa. “It will come into operation in a few days,” he added. — HNS


Two abductors held

KATHMANDU: Police arrested two persons accused of abduction on Saturday. The alleged kidnappers are Kumananda Khadka, 23, and Dhan Bahadur Limbu. They were planning to abduct Durga Prasad Ghimire, 38, of Narephant, Buddhanagar. Investigation into the incident is underway, the police said. — HNS


FNJ condemns blast

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists on Saturday condemned the blast at the residence of FNJ member and president of Nepal Press Union, Parsa chapter, Kashinath Yadav. The incident occurred in Birgunj on Friday. Issuing a press statement in the capital, the Federation of Nepali Journalists urged the government to probe into the incident, ensure professional security to working journalists, reasonable compensation to the victim and strong action against the culprits involved in the incident. — HNS
