Two held with hashish

KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday arrested Ram Kumar Lama, 28, of Chitlang VDC-8 of Makwanpur district and Bishnu Prasad Neupane, 25, of Bhagawati VDC-4 of Arghakhanchi district with 10 kg of hashish. Lama and Neupane were sent to the District Police Office Hanumandhoka on Wednesday for conducting legal proceedings. — HNS

3 held with fake notes

LALITPUR: The Lalitpur sub-branch of the VCIB has arrested Raj Kumar Shrestha, 43, of Gekhu VDC-4 Nuwakot, who had been living in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7, Bhim Bahadur Pyakurel, 72, of Ulleni VDC, Nuwakot, and Krishna Bahadur Pyakurel, 50, with fake Indian currency. Police first arrested Shrestha from Sundhara and found 13 notes of INRe 500 denomination in his possession. The two were arrested later. — HNS
