Hashish haul

KATHMANDU: Police seized 32 kilograms of hashish from two Sajha buses entering the valley from Baglung here on Wednesday evening. Security forces deployed at Thankot seized 20 kilograms of hashish from a Sajha bus with the plate number Ba 1 kha 4298 at around 5 pm on Wednesday while another 12 kilograms of illegal hashish was seized from the bus with plate number Ba 1 Kha 4293 the same day. Police kept both buses under control and have also arrested a driver and a conductor. — HNS

Meet on environment

KATHMANDU: A two-day workshop on the impact of environment on health commenced here from Wednesday. Organised by the Nepal Health Research Council with economic and technical assistance of the WHO, the workshop aims at making recommendations that would help formulate a national directory on the impact of the environment on health in the changing context. Representatives of governmental and NGOs are taking part in the programme. — RSS
