Two computers stolen

KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 190,000 was stolen from the Shree Krishna Secondary School at Dhapakhel-2, Lalitpur, on Sunday afternoon. According to police, two computers worth Rs 190,000 were stolen when there was nobody in the school. Further investigation is underway. — HNS

KMC to widen roads

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is to widen and manage the pavements in various places within the city. The Department of Public Construction of the KMC has plans to widen the pavements in Solteemode-Tripureswor sector, Thapathali-Kamaladi sector and from New Road up to the place where the statue of Juddha Shumshere has been erected. The department has estimated that the project would cost about Rs 20 million and has scheduled to finish all the works within the running fiscal year 2062/ 63, official at the KMC disclosed. — RSS
