Library to get help

Kathmandu: Gert Meinecke, the Danish ambassador to Nepal, during a visit to the Society for Kathmandu Valley Public Library (SKVPL) in Bhrikuti Mandap today, said the Danish Embassy would donate books to the library. Gajendra Bahadur Shrestha, the honorary counsellor general to Sweden, also assured help to the library. “Hoisting visits like these open opportunities for collaborations between the library and interested groups and individuals,” said the treasurer of the SKVPL, Murari Raj Pokhrel. “We plan to add an encyclopaedia series and provide internet services,” Pokhrel said. The library, which has a collection of 6,000 books, has room for 2,000 more. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine (IOM), Dean’s Office, Examinations Controller’s Division, on Friday published the results of the Proficiency Certificate Level Nursing, Second Year Regular and Re-examinations, held in March/April, MBBS Second Phase Regular and Re-examinations, the BDS Third Year Regular and Re-examinations, MD General Practice First and Second Year Regular and Re-examinations, and the MN First Year Regular and Re-examinations held in June/July. — RSS

Official transferred

KATHMANDU: The government has transferred Director General at the Department of Plant Resources, Dr Udaya Raj Sharma, to the Department of Forests, the Ministry of Forest and Soil-conservation stated on Friday. — RSS
