KATHMANDU: Legal experts on Sunday blamed the present criminal legal system of being biased against the victims. Unless the legal system is developed with the aim to provide justice to the victims, the state will not be able to provide justice to the people, they said at a function to launch a book Victims’ Jurisprudence authored by Dr Shankar Kumar Shrestha. — HNS

Task force formed

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has constituted a six-member task force under the convenorship of Kedar Lal Joshi to recommend measures that the Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation (RNAC) has to adopt for improvement in the future. The task force is to present a report along with an action plan within a period of two months after beginning work. — RSS

Clean-up drive

LALITPUR: The Clean Kathmandu Valley, Japan International Cooperation Agency and Lalitpur sub-metropolitan city (LMC), jointly cleaned the streets in Lalitpur area on Sunday. Patan-based nongovernmental organisations working in the field of environment cleaned the streets in Pulchowk, Lagankhel, Sundhara and Banglamukhi with the help of 320 people from nine NGOs. — HNS
