Crown Prince at function:

KATHMANDU: On the occasion of the 55th auspicious birthday of Queen Komal, Crown Prince Paras graced the “beating the retreat’’ organised by the Nepal Police at the national police training academy on Saturday. Crown Princess Himani , Princess Prerana and other members of the royal family were also present on the occasion. The Crown Prince was offered the programme booklet of the beating the retreat, the Police Darpan and a special issue published by the Nepal Police by inspector general of police Shyam Bhakta Thapa. — RSS

KATHMANDU: The Royal Nepali Embassy, Washington DC, held a special programme on Friday to mark the 55th National Democracy Day. On the occasion, ambassador Kedar Bhakta Shrestha shed light on the importance of the democracy day. Embassy staffers and Nepalis living in the US took part in the programme. — RSS

Function organised:

KATHMANDU: A function was organised at the Tribhuvan Park, Thankot, on Saturday to mark the King Tribhuvan Jayanti and the 55th National Democracy Day. At the programme organised by the King Tribhuvan Memorial Committee, chairman of the committee and vice-chairman of the council of ministers, Kirtinidhi Bista, committee officials, leaders of political parties, social workers and locals offered garland at the statue of the late King. On the occasion, Rajparishad standing committee chairman Parashu Narayan Chaudhari said that the Nepalis have felt joyous from the royal address delivered recently by comprehending the problems of the country, and added that the present worsened situation of the country is created by the actions of the political leaders. — RSS
