India donates ambulances

Kathmandu, January 26:
On the occasion of the Republic Day of India, Indian ambassador to Nepal, Shiv Shankar Mukherjee, donated 11 ambulances to various organisations. The ambassador also presented books and scientific equipment to 21 academic institutions and libraries.
The government of India has been extending financial help to various educational institutes across the country. The message of APJ Abdul Kalam, president of India, was read out by the ambassador at the flag-hoisting ceremony, which was attended by over 2000 persons. The ceremony was followed by a cultural programme by the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya.
