Indian envoy Rae congratulates Nepal's new Prez Bidya Devi Bhandari
KATHMANDU: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae on Thursday called on newly elected President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter's residence in New Baneshwor and congratulated her.
Bhandari was elected the first female and second President of Federal Democratic Republic Nepal, defeating Nepali Congress veteran leader Kul Bahadur Gurung yesterday.
Bhandari will be sworn-in by Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha in Sheetal Niwas at 3 pm today.
