IFWJ delegation welcomed

Kathmandu, June 19

A delegation led by President of Indian Federation of Working Journalists K Vikram Rao that arrived for a visit to Nepal was welcomed amidst a programme here today. The programme was jointly organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federation of Nepali Journalists, Department of Information and Nepal Tourism Board.

The 125-member delegation also comprising Sri Lankan journalists arrived here on Saturday.  It is on the ‘Vishwanath to Pashupatinath’ trip that originated from Varanasi, the religious city in  Uttar Pradesh state of India on June 17 and will conclude upon reaching Pashupatinath in Kathmandu on Thursday. The team entered Nepal via the Bhairahawa point.

DoI Director General Bir Bahadur Rai, formally welcomed the delegation and urged it to visit Nepal’s other tourist destinations and famous temples as well.
