Indian man held for selling dead poultry

KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday detained an Indian national for selling dead chickens, from Banasthali of the Capital.

Nanda Kishor Gupta from Bettiah of India was arrested with 130 dead fowls from his Welcome Cold Store in Banasthali, KMC-16, police said.

Acting on a tip-off that the Store has been selling dead poultry, a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, had swung into action.

Further investigation is underway.
