Indian man held on theft charge from Kalanki

KATHMANDU: Police arrested a 20-year-old Indian man with reportedly stolen goods and tools to break padlocks from Lampati of Kalanki on Sunday.

A team from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati, arrested Tuliya Kodar, a permanent resident of Samastipur, Bihar in India, from his rented room in Kalanki.

Police had first found Kodar in possession of some tools to break the padlocks. Upon investigation, police had also confiscated five batteries, two welding machines, two mobile phones, womenswear including sari and kurtas, and Rs 5,000 cash from his room.

Police said they are looking into the case.
