Indian national shot at

Kathmandu, November 7:

Two unidentified persons today shot at Mohamman Jalil, 38, of Motihari, India at Sitapaila, police said.

Jalil, who arrived in Kathmandu five days ago, is undergoing treatment at the Bir Hospital. Mohammad Kalaudin Mansuri, brother-in-law of Jalil, said that Jalil was sitting on a tool to get his shoes repaired when the gang opened fire upon him. “Two persons opened fire upon him. The shooters immediately fled on a motorcycle,” he said.

Two used cartridges of pistols were seized from the spot. “We have launched a haunt to nab shooters,” DSP Kanchan Thapa at Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, said.
