Instruction issued to high courts
Kathmandu, March 21
Acting Chief Justice Deepak Raj Joshee today issued instruction to high courts, telling them to ensure that at least one judge assigned in commercial benches is always present.
According to a press release issued by the Supreme Court, the CJ instructed the high courts to sanction the leave of the judges of commerce benches in a way that could ensure that at least one judge is always present in the commercial benches.
Acting CJ Joshee took a decision to this effect keeping in mind the problems faced by parties due to absence of judges in commercial benches. “Absence of judges adversely affects urgent hearings, including trials. Therefore, a decision has been taken to ensure that at least one judge remains in the commercial benches,” the SC said.
