Lalitpur, July 21:

Journalists Navaraj Bhattarai and Narayan Prasad Bhattarai are embarking on a world tour in September with the slogan ‘Press Freedom and Positive Journalism.’

Both of them are affiliated with the Manokranti Weekly. “As the cases of journalists’ abduction and murder are continuing unabated across the world, we want to draw the attention of international organisations towards free press and positive journalism,” said Navaraj.

He said the tour would begin from Nepal in mid-September and would complete in seven years. “First we would visit all 75 districts of Nepal on cycles and on foot and then embark on the world tour.” The newspaper would manage our initial tour expenses, they said, adding that they would also seek donations from international media organisations.
