Jumla man, injured in demarcation protest, dies in Capital

KATHMANDU: A man who was injured during a protest in Jumla district headquarters last week died in the course of treatment on Sunday.

Hari Kumar Kunwar was injured after being hit by a bullet while he was protesting the proposed demarcation of federal units in Jumla on August 16.

He was undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

Meanwhile, Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist claimed that Kunwar was its cadre.

Issuing a press statement, party General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa demanded that Kunwar be declared a martyr and his family given due relief.
