Kathmandu rocked by mild quake

KATHMANDU: An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale, originating in Tibet struck the capital on Friday at 10.27 am. It was also felt in the eastern part of the country.

According to the National Seismological Centre at the Department of Mines and Geology, Lainchaur, the epicentre of the quake was in Tibet, some 95 kilometres north of Mount Everest.
