Kathamndu, January 13:

A writ petition was filed at the Supreme Court today seeking its order to the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ), the election committee of FNJ’s Kathmandu district branch and its working committee to revoke the recent election of the Kathmandu branch.

A group of journalists, including Ramhari Silwal, who was a candidate for the post of chairman, filed the petition. Silwal claimed irregularities in the election. The petition has sought the SC order to the defendants to hold fresh polls.
