Oli denies taking away Baluwatar properties
KATHMANDU: Immediate past Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's Secretariat has denied accusations which had claimed that the former PM's Secretariat members also took away various properties of the PM's Baluwatar-based official residence while he exited the building.
On August 3, after Oli's exit, members of the Secretariat were accused of taking properties from the PM's residence.
The Secretariat in a statement issued today has stated that the photo published on various media portals was not of the kitchen in Baluwatar. It also claimed the reports were part of a propaganda to tarnish Oli's image.
It further criticised the media for circulating the false reports.
According to the statement, PM Oli had handed over all the items he had taken from the residence in presence of officials from the Physical Planning and Urban Development Division and the PM's residence staff.
