Krishna holds talks with Nembang

KATHMANDU: Visiting Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna held talks with Constituent Assembly (CA) chairman Subhas Chandra Nembang at the BICC in New Baneshwor on Sunday morning.

In the meeting, Nembang told the Indian Minister that the CA and Nepal''s political parties would be able to draft a new constitution in the given time frame.

Krishna reiterated India’s commitment to support Nepal’s peace process, constitution writing, political stability and prosperity. He also interacted with chairs of thematic committees of the CA and leaders of parliamentary parties of different political parties for the same and bilateral interests of both countries.

Krishna had met President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala, Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and other high ranking official during his stay in Nepal.

He is scheduled to return India today wrapping up his three day visit after holding a press conference at Dwarika Hotel, in Battisputali, Kathmandu.
