Lalitpur: Krishnastami, observed in the month of Bhadra as the birthday of Lord Krishna, was celebrated today, the eighth day of the dark-lunar fortnight. Devotees thronged Krishna Mandir in Patan with flowers, food material and feathers of peacock in hand. Manahara Sharma, who came to the temple to offer her homage to Lord Krishna, returned because of the overwhelming crowd. Hundreds of priests lined the alleys around the temple offering tika to devotees.
