KATHMANDU: A cowshed in Tikathali of Lalitpur district caught fire on Friday, killing three cows and destroying property worth Rs 370,000.

Police said the shed belonging to Surendra Bhandari had caught fire in Tikathali, Mahalaxmi Municipality-9 yesterday.

A fire brigade assisted by locals and police had contained the fire.

Police have launched an investigation into the case.
