Lawmakers draw govt’s attention towards preventing soil erosion
 KATHMANDU: Lawmakers have drawn attention of the government towards preventing soil erosion that has started to take place in various parts of the country after the April 25 and May 12 earthquake and a series of aftershocks as well as the recent downpour.
Seeking time from the Speaker in the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament on Friday, the lawmakers demanded that the government start reconstruction of places of historical and archaeological importance in the Kathmandu Valley that were damaged by the quake.
The lawmakers further urged the government to provide services and facilities to the earthquake survivors in all the districts and bring programmes for river training in Parbat and Kaski districts.
Lawmakers Wangdi Sherpa, Bikas Lamsal, Binda Devi Ale Magar and Prem Suwal aired their views during the meeting.
