Leaders pay final respects to late Lawoti

KATHMANDU: The body of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal parallel central committee chairman late Padma Sundar Lawoti was kept at Khula Manch in the Capital this morning for those wishing to pay their final respects.

On the occasion, Speaker Subas Nembang, former Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, NC leader Kul Bahadur Gurung, leaders Prakash Chandra Lohani, Ramesh Nath Pandey, Dirgha Raj Prasain, Biswabandhu Thapa, Rajeswor Devkota, RPP Nepal Chair Kamal Thapa and various other political leaders and MPs had reached the open theatre to pay final tributes to late Lawoti.

Lawoti will be cremated as per Kirant traditions at the Pashupati Aryaghat later today.

The mourning procession will begin from Lawoti’s residence in Gwarko, according to Saraswati Shrestha of the party.

The 76-year-old leader and former Minister passed away in course of treatment on June 10.
