Lalitpur sub-Metropolitan City (LMC) is planning to recruit 26 city security personnel instead of city police to give continuity to its programme of removing street vendors launched in February. “The LMC has almost completed the procedure of recruiting city security personnel,”

said Ashok Shrestha, the LMC spokesperson. The LMC is running at the mercy of only two city policemen to manage the whole of Patan which is why it needs more people to keeps venors at bay.
