LOCUS begins from Friday

Kathmandu, June 30

Students of Electronics, Computer and Electrical Departments of Pulchowk Campus are organising three-day national technological festival LOCUS from Friday.

The theme of the annual event this year is ‘Empowering Innovations.’ According to Rasana Manandhar, LOCUS media coordinator, participants will showcase hardware, software and electrical projects in four categories — games and entertainment, industry and automation, energy and society, and open innovations.

“More than 60 projects from colleges across the country have been registered and we have planned out a list of events like yomari code camp, fastest googler, fastest texter, mini-militia, fifa, 3D movies and many more for the three-day exhibition,” said Manandhar.

Students have also planned a talks programme with Mahabir Pun, known for introducing wireless internet technology in remote areas of Nepal, and share his experiences on entrepreneurship.
