Mahayagya for school improvement

BHAKTAPUR: Shree Krishna Higher Secondary School in Bageshwori-1, Bhaktapur is going to organise a week-long Mahayagya to improve the physical infrastructure of the school. Speaking at a press conference organised by the school here today, Deepak Lamichhane, member of the main organising committee, said they were organising Mahayagya from March 7 to collect funds for the improvement of the school's physical facilities. "We'll open a pre-primary section in the school and set up computer labs with the funds collected from the Mahayagya," he said, adding that renowned Pandit Din Bandhu Pokharel would be reciting the Mahayagya.

Pokharel expected of raising Rs 30 million from the week-long Mahayagya.

"The country is going to break down due to the clashes between political parties,” he said. "People today needed two types of knowledge - moral and practical knowledge," he said, adding that he has been reciting Mahayagya as a campaign to provide moral knowledge to the public.

He further said that practical knowledge could be obtained only from the technical education, which he said was the responsibility of the state.

Meanwhile, it was stated that the Pacific Information College, Bhaktapur is also supporting the Mahayagya.
