Mainali stands for fringe parties

KATHMANDU: General secretary of the CPN-UML CP Mainali on Monday handed over a report containing the demands of the 11 fringe parties and two CA members to Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The fringe parties’ demands include two ministers for their alliance, facilities equal to a state minister to each party that has supported the government with out taking ministerial portfolio.

They have also demanded with the government to include all the 11 parties in the local government and establishment of a separate office for the parties so that they can hold free discussions among the parties. Share on the government’s political appointments and inclusion of their agenda and programmes in the upcoming budget have also been included in the demands of the 11 fringe parties.

The coalition has 18 members in the Constituent Assembly.
