KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a 27-year-old man on charge of defaming a woman by uploading her photos on her fake Facebook accounts he created himself.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim, police arrested Nabin Timilsina, a permanent resident of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-4 in Makawanpur, for her character assassination.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shiva Sharma Acharya, was quoted in Rastriya Samachar Samiti as saying,“Timilsina had posted the victim’s pictures and contact number on her fake Facebook account, with the status calling for interested to contact with her for pornographic activities.”

The accused will be booked under the Public Offence Act, and further investigations are going on.
