Man held for murder attempts

KATHMANDU: A man has been nabbed on charge of two murder attempts, from Tokha of Kathmandu on Monday.

Rim Bahadur Khatri aka Rim KC (47) from Titang VDC-7 of Baglung, currently residing in Tokha of the Capital, was arrested for his alleged involvement in an attack on Surya Bahadur Gurung (27) of Darkha-9 of Dhading district and Jeevan Chaulagain (29) from Bilandu-7 of Okhaldhunga district with a sharp weapon on March 21.

The duo had sustained serious injuries in the attack in front of the Himsagar Dohori Sanjh restaurant in Gongabu, Tokha Municipality-13 of Kathmandu.

He was absconding after the case, but police nabbed him at around 5 pm on Monday, police said today.

The Metropolitan Police Crime Division handed over to Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, on Tuesday, for further investigations and actions.
