KATHMANDU: Police said they have arrested a man in possession of one kg undeclared gold from Jorpati, Gokarneshwor-12 of Kathmandu district on Saturday.

Bikas Tamang (23) of Sindhupalchok, currently living in Gokarneshwor-15, was arrested with the precious yellow metal in a rectangular shape with "Fine Gold 999.9" written on it.

A police team from the Bouddha-based Metropolitan Police Circle had arrested him while the law enforcement personnel were carrying a routine check of vehicles at a road near local Jambudanda.

The suspect was riding on a motorbike (Ba 73 Pa 2837) while police caught him.
