KATHMANDU: Police said a 24-year-old youth was caught red-handed while he was stealing two minitruck batteries from Golphutar of Kathmandu on Thursday.

Rajendra Maharjan from Dhapasi was stealing the batteries from two minitrucks parked near the microbus park in Golphutar, Budhanilakantha-10, police said.

Meanwhile, police seized 15 wrist watches, five mobile phones, three coil cables, two kitchen dishes among various things from his possession.

Further investigation is underway.
