KATHMANDU: A man was arrested in possession of an Italian pistol and a khukuri from Chandol of Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Prabhakar Bhattarai from Chandol, KMC-4 was detained for hiding the weapons under a cloth piece in his bedroom.

A team jointly deployed from the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu and Metropolitan Police Circle, Kamal Pokhari had raided his room yesterday.

Meanwhile, police also arrested the suspect's fried Aakash Jung Gurung in connection to the case.

Further investigation is underway.
