KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man with possession of undeclared gold worth Rs 1.02 million from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Wednesday.

The suspect has been identified as Sushil Bahadur KC (26) of Bhalam-3, Kaski district.

He had arrived Kathmandu from Doha of Qatar, boarding a Qatar Airway's flight QR 646.

Police said that KC was apprehended with the two pieces of yellow metal during a security check. The gold was hidden in the back pack pocket of his pants.

KC along with the seized gold has been handed over to the TIA Customs Office, Sinamangal.
