KATHMANDU: A cyclist died while his bicycle collided with two motorbikes simultaneously in Kirtipur of Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Bijay Mahato (32) from Koriyatar of Sarlahi district died on the spot while his cycle collided with two bikes – Ba 62 Pa 9777 and Ba 62 Pa 1884 – on a street in Kirtipur-3 yesterday.

Barmadev Mahato who was riding pillion on the victim's bicycle sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at the Kirtipur-based Model Hospital.

Police detained riders of both two-wheelers to investigate into the case.
