Maoist, ANFSU-R torch vehicles
KATHMANDU: Three vehicles were set on fire by protesters in separate incidents in different parts of the city on Wednesday.
A group of students affiliated with All Nepal Free Student Union Revolutionary (ANFSU-R) torched a government vehicle in Lainchaur at Amrit Science Campus, protesting the Tribhuvan University's decision to phase out the Proficiency Certificate Level. They also set fire to another vehicle belonging to the District Education Office of Mahottari in front of Balmiki Campus in Exhibition Road. Cadres of UCPN-Maoist set a jeep on fire after a demonstration during their protest programme in Maitighar.
