Maoists disrupt house proceedings

KATHMANDU: Constituent Assembly members of the Unified Maoists on Tuesday disrupted a meeting of the legislature-parliament to protest the 'unconstitutional' move of the President Dr Ram Baran Yadav. The Maoist lawmakers gheraoed rostrum chanting slogans against the President. They opposed the president's move to reinstate the Chief of Army Staff Rukmangud Katawal, who was sacked by the government. The UCPN-Maoist also demanded the President to correct his decision on the CoAS issue. The meeting has been postponed till tomorrow.
