Minister Baskota pledges to implement minimum wage to journos

BHAKTAPUR: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota on Saturday reiterated his commitment to enforce minimum wages to working journalists by all means.

Inaugurating the 21st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Bhaktapur Chapter, Minister Baskota said the provisions related to minimum wage would be implemented without any compromise.

Minister Banskota also urged media professionals to disseminate unbiased news without basing reports in favor of particular political ideology, ruling or opposition parties. He further lambasted media for its ‘unswerving and irrational’ support to protesting Dr Govinda KC.
